My practice is developed through distinct and ongoing series that often span multiple years. Each body of work represents a sustained, deep investigation into a specific facet of my core themes, building upon ideas and materiality.

Portraits of emotional endurance. This ongoing series investigates the facades we construct, the masks worn to survive, belong, and endure contemporary pressures.

Materials: Collage, acrylic, and pen & ink on paper.

Interventions on Paper

A dialogue between past and present. This series involves disrupting vintage prints of historical engravings with contemporary markings in acrylic and ink. By intervening directly onto this century-old imagery, the process examines the persistence of collective anxieties through time.

Materials: Vintage prints, archival paper, acrylic, and ink.

Investigations into constructed identity. This series explores the protective facades we build. The process involves obsessively layering and then literally chipping away at these barriers to expose underlying feelings of alienation and inner turmoil.

Materials: Collage, acrylic, and pen on paper, canvas, and wood.

New Recruits and Old Regimes

Navigating the demands of allegiance. This series of drawings and collages depicts the entanglements of allegiance and power. Through overlapping, clustered, and interrupted figures within layered compositions, the work maps the psychological terrain where war, culture, and identity collide in both our private lives and public roles.

Materials: Collage, acrylic, and pen & ink on paper.

Visualizing the future of decline. This series develops post-apocalyptic narratives that actively re-contextualize prophetic imagery drawn from the history of art, literature, and religion. The works explore cyclical themes of destruction and survival.

Materials: Collage, acrylic, and pen on paper and cardboard.

Prophets and Ruins

A contemporary dialogue with Abstract Expressionism. These gestural abstract works enter into conversation with the formal and emotional legacy of abstract art, filtering its concerns through the lens of modern psychological pressure.

Materials: Acrylic and mixed media on canvas.

Selected Drawings

The imperfections of an epiphany. This collection of works on paper captures the initial, unrefined energy of the studio—the process where concepts are first realized and the imperfections of an epiphany are laid bare.
